Who's tried em? Who likes em? Who hates em? The 1 inch stock extension would fit me better for sure.
Is there good ones and bad ones? I mean to say , do some require fitting ? , and a different brand name fit well without any alterations ? Are they all the right length , to match up well with the wood? Do some require belt sanding to match them up? You get my drift.
 
Just buy "Allen Company Recoil Eraser/Slip On Recoil Pad, Small" from Amazon.ca. $10 generic slip on pad that happens to fit all the Mosin-Nagant stocks perfectly. Adds about an inch to the LOP, reduces recoil and doesn't require any work.
 
Got mine off ebay for $20 shipped (ehobbymart) the LOP is much better for me now . Bolted right on with no mods required
The one on the SKS was bought off the EE from mobular and he still has some I believe.

 
I have one on one of my mosins with a scope just to make it more comfortable. I'm not 5'8 like the average Russian farmer so I need a longer butt stock.

Dont forget the part where its designed for a short man wearing a parka, so even if you WERE 5'8, it would be too short.

Hell, Im not even 5'8 tall and my sks and even my Lee Enfield both have rediculously short LOP.

Yupp. I have one, bought it at walmart for $11. Makes my sks and enfield a good fit. Im going to pick up another one just so I dont have to swap it between rifles when Im out with both guns... Just make sure you take it off when you are done, if you dont you can bugger up your finish.
 
I bought one off ebay, can only get 1 of 2 screws in. Ended up ordering a limbsaver slip on for about $60 shipped instead. Let's me swap it between rifles easy.
 
I have seen pictures of them installed on Mosins and they weren't long enough to go all the way down to the base of the toe. They were about an 1/8" of an inch too short. Who has one of these? Which brand was that? I want one that fits and covers the whole butt!
