I finally had the luxury of simply holding a Swiss Arms Black Special. Now I know what all you advocates of the gun are talking about. Excellent quality. Hopefully someday a good sumaritan well let me shoot one or better yet, give me four grand.

I thought there was too much hype around them for years. Yes, I wanted one, but never saw the appeal. I owned a couple AR's, so I didn't see what was so great about the SAN line.

Well, I started with a CQB, now have a carbine, and a Green Special on the way! They truly are a cut above a LOT of other rifles.

They're not $4000 though - I bought my lightly used CQB for less than 3000, and my carbine for less than $2700 (without rail, mind you). Just bought a full length Green Special for $2500. :)

One of my friends has a lovely little Classic Green. She bought it back in the day when they were in the $2500 range new. Such a great gun to shoot and flawless fit and finish. Nice piece of kit. Out of my $ range now though. Hopefully they come down again.

the cheapest new price I remember was $2799. They only came down to that price for a little while. Historically they've been $2999 new. The best new price I know of is $3398 at Wolverine.

They're going to be priced higher than that in the future because Swiss Arms concluded their contract for the Swiss army and you no longer get the government subsidized pricing.

When the Sniper versions were being sold, P&D had one sold for $5000+tax.

There are 2 in the EE, one around $9000 and the other over $13,000! Dream on if they think they'll get more than $6500 for either.

Uncle Walther, I ordered mine new at $2,999. They came in when the dollar was above parity and sold me mine for $2,700! I could never complain about a deal like that.

The rifle came with it! Bought it off the EE. If you're interested, I'm looking to trade it for a regular forend plus cash... PM me if you have a green (or black, i guess) carbine forend you wanna trade!!!!

I'd be all over them if they were factory offered as flat tops with 1:7 or 1:8 barrel twists.
Yes, I know you can find them with that, or have them rebarreled, but it is a lot of work.
