Hey, i had recently installed an ATI shotforce pistol grip stock on my mossberg 590. The thing start kicking like a mule since, almost unbearable. I have put back my orginal speedfeed stock and is much better since. I really love the looks and function of a tactical pistol grip stock.

If ever i chose to buy knoxx blackhawk stock, will it serve me well? Will it kick at least equal to my speedfeed stock?

Wolverine supplies on top of this here page sells the knoxx stock for the mossberg, he will sure have access to the one you have shown from ebay. Ive felt played with my ati stock, im kind of holding back before investing in yet another stock. If anyone got reviews made by real end users i could sure use them.

Not hard to find reviews on seller sites, but one never knows how real they are. Still, this seemed realistic.

Exactly, a salesman will always be a salesman. There are some that can be trusted but i do not know them yet. The review is real nice, and if it is real i would buy this at wolverines supply in an instant. I am looking at a few youtube reviews, but if someone has seen a decent review made by someone reputable, send it this way.

Anyone have experience with this one?

It's not pistol grip, but I've been looking for something like this.

Does anyone in Canada sell the Knoxx recoil reduction stocks?

I have them on two of my 870's and they work very well. I prefer them to the pistol grip models.

A buddy of mine thinks they kick less than my Benelli M4, I think about the same. Either way it is a considerable difference from stock.

The knox stock works great, BUT BEWARE, there are two kinds. One has the compensator spring, the other doesnt (hence the higher price). I think i paid under 100 bucks at Brownells and they do ship legally (Canada Customs re-wraps in nice yellow tape!!) There is also a "new" style introduced in 2012(?), so beware when buying as well, price should be reflected (newer is more ergonomic).

YES they are worth the money. Barely feel the kick. The impact force actually comes out near the cheek weld, not the shoulder.

Edit: I believe SFRC has them too, probably easier to get from Ryan. (I would never go to e-bay for this one, go somewhere reputable.)

No experience with that one, but it will not work as well as the PG model as it has one spring compared to the two in the PG. Blackhawk note less recoil reduction with it.

I have the PG version and love it. One thing to note is that anything on the forend (surefire forend or flashlights) or a sling mount in front of forend (depending on how you hold the forend) will bash you support hand.

I used to have the pistol grip one on it and have since went to the "single spring" normal stocked one on two different 870's and the difference is negligible, but still very noticeable from stock configuration or our duty shotguns.

I say go with whatever one is most ergonomic for you, as the recoil reduction are both significant and adequate, and the difference is negligible.

I bought one fronm wolverine for my 590 and it made a big difference in recoil. Just adjust the stock properly so you dont get any face slap.

I had the pistol grip spring version and it gave me horrible face slap.

I know it was my hold but that's just the way I hold a shotgun...

Sold the gun and recently put their NRS (no recoil system) on a 12" Grizzly and love it :)

I had one installed on a 870 and i loved it. But on a Mossberg with the safety on the top of the receiver, pistol grip = fail IMHO. The regular stock model look promising though.
