Blackhawk Stalker drag bag/rifle case/shooting mat....

Very nice find indeed.

Oh little Jesus, help me find a great case/bag just like that but wide enough (14") to fit my AR with optics and 30 rounds pmag, and I promise I won't use Justin Turdo's picture as practise target. Amen.

It's 50" long and the mat is 37" wide on the bigger end and 29" on the smaller end.....The Remmy 700 in the pics is 39" long...The Savage 110FP is 47" long and the M14 is 44" long.....All 3 fit great into the case...

Sorry I meant was the bag used or dealer, 22" to bad...I'm looking for one that will house a 28". Great looking bag though If it was a bit longer I'd be all over it.

I have a bag made by Voodoo Tactical that takes my 26'' barrelled rigs with a little room to spare. It is a really well made product. Lots if pockets, very heavy fabric, back pack straps (if your hiking with it) and with the skirt folded out and the blast mat installed it is huge. I got it from Wanstalls.

Good to know. I'll be sure to check that out.

While the idea of shooting mat/rifle bags is great in theory, in practice they can be pretty aweful. The reason is that you are likely to get dirt, moisture, etc in the bag when you are getting on and off it and while it is sitting on the ground in general, then you have to worry about keeping it free of debris and all that.

If you are confident that it isn't an issue for you or that you don't care about it in your rifles then no worries.

I was initially going to buy something like that and it does look like a great mat, but I ended up changing my mind after other people pointed that out to me.

In practice I haven't found it to be an issue. If laying in sand or dry bare ground I suppose it could become an issue. I live in the same area as CDN Shooter and it can be very dry around here. Despite that there is generally grass one can set up on. In that case a quick shake of the mat takes care of anything that gets on the mat. I get more dust / debris on my rifles from the wind that anything else.

You make a great point...I'll just have to be careful when using it.. Its for range use anyways so probably will basically use it just as a case...But it's nice to have it if I want to use it as a mat.....
