Hello,

This year was my first year blackpowder hunting and I already realized the need for a fast way to reload (hit a tree in front of the deer and she didn't move). Anyway, the quick loaders I was using are not quick enough and I found myself fumbling around trying to get everything together. I found this http://www.basspro.com/servlet/cata...arClassCode=3&hvarSubCode=6&hvarTarget=browse and bass pro shops in toronto this weekend but they only come in 50 cal and I shoot a 45! Anyone know where I could get a similar product in 45 calibre?

Thanks!
Evan

There are several speed loaders for the muzzleloader. T/C makes one that has a short starter as part of it. the one I like best is a strait through loader. You just pop the cap off and dump the powder in and push the ball right after it. I have been using them for years.

My problem with the strait through loaders I have is that they are too short to hold 100 grains of powder and my bullet, so I have had to keep my bullets seperate. Maybe I should just look for some longer ones then.

Practice at the range will improve your re-loading speed. Choose whatever speed loader you like but sometimes the lube on the patch/bullet can dry up between hunts.
