I asked on the general forum, but no response, so I'll try here.
Does anyone know of a source, preferably in Alberta or interior BC for GOEX 2ffg and Cartridge powders?
Thanks, DaveF.

I'm going to guess that most places that handle powder are going to have it. But shipping could be a problem, I don't think it will get by as a flamable solid, It will be listed as explosive. I bought my last can at Kelly's gun shop in Foxboro, Ontario, a long time ago, and in person.

Thanks John. The problem here in southern Ab. is that Wholesale Sports don't import any more due to their high shipping cost. I was also in Kalispell/Whitefish Mt. last weekend, and it's the same thing there.
There is some Elephant brand powder available locally, but all my loads were developed using Goex 2ffg and Cartridge, and I'm trying to avoid having to work up loads again.
Regards, DaveF.

My brother lives in Redcliff and had a hell of a time finding black powder. Same thing - most places in Canada and the US find there aren't enough shooters wanting to use the real thing to make the extra permits and facilities worth their while.

Randy ended up finding out that one of the blackpowder clubs/organizations around the Lethbridge area brings in a lot of it and he seems to be happily supplied for his Sharps ever since.

I went to the imitation blackpowder stuff a long time ago...

Proline Shooters has blackpowder in stock

Getting caught at the border with blackpowder will send you to jail!! Not only is black powder considered an explosive (hence very tightly controlled) it is absolutely against US law to be in possession of it for export without some serious permits in place. Strange when you think about it, this from the same country that does not consider most BP guns to be guns??
