Blade-Tech holster for NP22

So.... I'm looking at the Blade-Tech IDPA for my NP22. There's a kit for the Sig 226 and one for the 226R. My instinct says get the one for the R, but it would appear as though the R model is molded for a light as well. Currently don't have a light and have no immediate plans to get one. Will the R model holster fit if I don't have a light?

Always used the Fobus myself...no light...but I'm guessing, without the light, the thumb lock should still work...

I didn't have a big problem with that Sig holster but some have a lot of problem with the trigger finger pushing the retention release as it could be unsafe - same with the Serpa style. Your trigger finger could slip to the trigger. I never had that problem with this particular one but you should be aware that is a criticism.

Actually if you PM me I could send you mine since I never intend to use my NP22 as competition again.
