I've never seen that type before. Won't hurt the revolver. But I have no idea where you'll get blanks in Canada and they're likely to be expensive if you do find any. If you handload, I believe you can get special crimping dies from CH4D in the US. (They will ship to Canada as there's no ITAR restriction on regular reloading gear.) I don't know how many reloads you'll get, though, as blowing out then re-crimping the end of the case will be hard on brass.
One thing to note is that you will have to enlarge the flash hole. I'm not exactly clear on the physics involved as regards the primer but I believe that as there is very little pressure to force the walls of the case outwards to grip the chamber wall (as would happen with a regular round) the case will move back against the recoil shield and prevent the cylinder from rotating. Enlarging the flash hole seems to mitigate this. (I know from experience that this applies to blanks made with just a wad or other light plug against the powder; not sure if it is the same with crimped cases.) Make sure you mark those cases and do not use them for regular rounds!
