Let say i could get my hands on some blanks. Don't ask why i would want to shoot them but lets say i did would it damage the rifle to shoot blanks out of it? Just asking b/c i know some guns need a blank firing attachment.
blanks damage rifling and sometimes the action with the adapter. dont bother
In the military I fired as few blanks through my C7 and 8 as I could get away with and dumped alot in the field so it would be easier to clean my rifle and hand it back onto the rack. Just fouls up the rifle. I prefered live fire shoots anyway. Why anyone, civilian that is would want to fire blanks through their personal firearm when they can shoot live ammo I cannot understand. At the range what do blanks do? You cannot fire off blanks legally in your backyard unless you want trouble. Get a box as a collectible but you don't do your firearms favours running blanks through them.
it was meant as a joke for my buddies who want to try out my AR180. Lol bang but no hits on paper![]()
you can give him live rounds too, he probably won't hit the target either way.
