Anyone shooting one have a pro/con perspective about them? I tried one out the other day and it was a good fit for me. I didn’t know if there is big let down after the honeymoon period?

Just bought a used one on the EE. Fits me very well too! Check shotgun world or some of the other more clay oriented forums - most say they are pretty highly regarded. Not a lot of known issues. No regrets for me yet!

I have had one for a year and I highly recommend them. I also have a K80, and though it pains me to say it, I shoot the Blaser better. Mine has never had any issues a d I have about 5k through it. Ow.

I think i share some of your pain but it comes from an entirely different direction. I feel as though i can shoot the blaser better than my current o/u but it's about 2.5 times more expensive. I'll have to keep my eye out for a deal while I save for a new one.

My experience has been that while I believe the Blaser is every bit a very high quality gun, because they're newer to the shotgun market they don't retain their value like a "B" or "K" gun at this time. I see lots of F16's for sale but they don't seem to move quickly. I got my F16 Sporting used in excellent condition and I got it for $3500.00 and that included the Blaser/Negrini case and 5 Briley extended chokes. I know a guy who upgraded to an F3 and he can't get 4K for his almost new F16.

The triggers and build quality are almost on par with the F3 and the Krieghoff's but the gun is lighter so it feels more lively to me (some people think that's a negative because they feel it recoils more with the reduced weight but if the gun fits properly the recoil is negligible, at least in my experience).

I removed the weights from my F-3 Vantage, and I find it very lively, and recoil is mild with 1 ounce loads. I found my Vantage used with 1000 rounds fired for $5600 last spring, and I prefer it to a K80, or my K-20. I did look at the F-16, but I much preferred the F-3 Vantage.

I shot a 100 round course with the f16. Lively is what I like about it. Oddly it handles something like my a400 or at the very least very differently than my current o/u. I had been shooting 1 1/8 Browning 1300fps most of the weekend along with a couple hundred AA supersports. I can say the Blaser had a different recoil than I'm accustomed to but not much different than the f3 that i tried.

Different recoil.... in what way?

I've also tried the F3 Vantage and liked it. On some of the American forums, people are convinced that the F16 is a harder recoiling gun than most others. That's not my experience with either 1oz or 1 1/8oz target loads. As much as I like the F16, if I could only keep one gun, hands down my K20 Sporting. My son likes the F16 so much he claims it's his (my bill of sale says otherwise).

I understand the weight of the gun affects felt recoil, but my experience has been a heavier, poor fitting gun always means more recoil on my shoulder/face than a well fitting, lighter gun. The lighter gun can also feel a bit "whippy" when swinging but the F16 Sporting can be had with barrel weights to change the balance and I would imagine, increase the weight a bit. I have no weights installed on mine.

Proper "fit" just means that the recoil is where it's supposed to be.
I used to like lighter guns and 8 lbs always seemed to be about the right weight in a sporting gun for me but I've been shooting a gun weighing 8.75 lbs for the last few months and since the extra weight is mostly between my hands the gun still feels lively but is dead stable on long crossing shots. It's a bit sluggish on close fast moving targets but with good planning the gun movement can be kept to a minimum. The good fit and heavy weight means that there is almost no felt recoil with 1 oz loads and I can shoot handicap loads all day long with no fatigue induced from the recoil.

Well the a400 has a more elongated type pulse. Between the action and the kickoff its hard to say whats what. But recoil is light. My o/u has an adjustable butt plate and thin limbsaver pad . I don't know if the recoil is the same or not but the f16 and the f3 for that matter seem a little sharp or direct. Not unpleasant or difficult to shoot. Just different. Maybe just where i did a fair bit of shooting in a short span of time?

If I had to give up my F-3, or my K-20, the K-20 would be gone, and I would have extra sub gauge barrels for the F-3.

Well I'm thinking that an F16 is in my future. I have sold my old o/u and I was pretty happy with the way the blaser handled. I'll go through the motions and see when I can get a lefty 32" sporting. Funny thing is, up till a couple weeks ago the blaser wasn't even on the radar.

I have dealt with the Gun Dealer on several occasions and they were ways good to deal with. They are always willing to deal on price also. Good luck on your purchase if you find one.

The gun dealer seems to have a good reputation, a number of people that I know have purchased firearms from there. All good experiences .
