Bbartsch how did you get a response from PGWDTI I wanted info about a LRT 2 2 months ago and still have not got a reply. I guess my money is not as good as the governments.
I have a PGWDTI Timberwolf. It does indeed shoot .5 MOA or better with factory Lapua ammo. Proper handloading shrinks group size even further. With my handloads (300gr SMK on 92 gr. of H-1000) I shot a 100m group of .349 inches over the x-mas holidays. I also shot a 4" group at 800m last Sunday. And yes I have witnesses. It has and will shoot even better, Sunday's group was shot off the top off a couple of wobbly straw bales.
The Timberwolf is a remarkable rifle but the price is also remarkable, bordering on obscene. Including the cost of optics it is a >$10,000.00 rifle.
You don't need to send PGW an email to get a ballpark price quote. There are price lists on their website. Of course price may vary if you specify different features.
I was wondering if I could specify the length and contour of barrel. How do you even tell them you want one if they don't answer e-mail or provide a phone #.
As far as I know you can specify any barrel length and contour you like. They have a "standard" barrel configuration but it's your money and if you want it and have the $, they will build it. I'll be talking to PGW Steve in the next couple of days. I'll remind him of the importance of civvie customers.
That would be great praireguy, I understand the need to get these rifles in the hands of our servicemen, especially now, but if they still advertise to the public, they should take care of them as well. Do you consider the money for the Timberwolf "well spent", or "what the hell was I thinking?"
