Got looking through some old rimfire ammo from a hunting buddy who passed a while back. Thought the 22 aficionado's might get a kick out of it.

Yessir, way to make a guy feel old. Whizbangs were being phased out when I started buying for myself.

I still have some, as well as Canuck 25s and 32s, Bisleys, Imperials, 22 extra long, etc.
I went through a box of those BB Caps (still have the empty box) and my thoughts at the time were that they were anything but "Super-Clean" compared to the German Acorn caps that I shot in my unlocked breech Flobert. The C-I-Ls had a pinch of flake powder in them that left a ton of residue.

Nice post, great memories.

Thanks for posting the photos . I remember seeing the whizz bang boxes and the Imperial stuff . all that stuff is from the good old days . when you could walk out your front door with a pellet gun and someone wouldn't call the swat team on you . I was walking along the creek near my place yesterday and I remember walking along it and shooting pop cans stuck up against trees in the creek with my Dads old Slavia 620 . on my side of the creek . and I was thinking good luck at doing that now .
