Blazer ammo

LR ammo is in such short supply in the US that some retailers are selling it at centerfire prices. Whether it be hype or an actual shortage is unknown for sure but many of my friends in the US are reporting similar stories.

My advice to you is buy LR ammo (at reasonable prices) when / where you can. At the very least consider it an investment as the prices will most likely not go down any time soon so in the long run you would be saving money.

I am a bit of a snob i will only shoot copper plated round nose or hollow point. it is a little easier on the gun cleaning wise and same with the hands i don't want lead poisoning. yes this is dramatic , i am just saying i like copper plated. cci is my fav.

I got two boxes of blazer .22lr, haven't shot it yet. Is it good ammo?

I've fired thousands of Blazer .22's thru my Ruger. It is good ammo IMO.
Ya, it's exposed lead, but if you avoid putting your fingers in your mouth and eyes, and wash your hands well after then there is very little risk of lead poisoning as far as I understand (http://dfuse.us/lead.html.)

A few weeks ago, a friend and I split a brick of it through a stock 10/22, a SR-22 with a Green Mountain .920 bull barrel, and a Norinco JW-25A. All guns gave pretty good accuracy and required minimal cleaning afterward. The SR-22 had several failure-to-feed's with the Promag and Butler Creek 25 rounders but the other guns had no problems using their stock magazines. We didn't have any that failed to fire so yeah, I'd call it good ammo.

Well to be honest as a general rule that IS what i do as soon as i am done loading my magazines and stuff and i shoot my guns i tend to stick my fingers inside the chamber to get as much lead and carbon on my finger and hands as i can then i shove my fingers right inside my eyeball sockets as deep as i can once the are nice n clean from my eyeball fluid i make sure to get any or all residual lead and gun powder residue off my other fingers and hands by sucking all of my fingers for several hours after i am done shooting. It makes for a complete day of shooting. some times i will hold my eye balls open with my fingers and ask my freinds to rub the lead noses on there .22 bullets inside my eyeballs you know for good luck n stuff.:nest:

AS for blazer ammo ..i will give it a middle of the road rating , maybe an upper middle of the road. It really is not bad at all. i just dont like lead round nose. iti s my under standing that cci actually makes the blazer stuff, that being said it is kinda like gmc and chevy , gmc uses higher quality parts in there vehicles even though they make the same style of trucks n cars as the chevy brand. so yeah i think there is nothing wrong with blazer. just not the best. but pretty good for plinking.
