Blazer from CCI or Federal?

Is the general consensus out there still in favor of the CCI made Blazer?

The darker color with a non shiny wax film. (left one in the picture)

The right one is Ammunition Accessories, Inc. was merged into Federal Cartridge Company.

I'm switching over from AE and want to know what everyone thinks.

My Model 41 has been experiencing failures to extract the AE.

So I tried out a box of Blazer and it was flawless.

In a Smith 41? Surely you're kidding, because if you aren't kidding you're nuts.

While I don't mean to offend, that would be a very very foolish thing to try to run in a 41.

I'd buy the cci made ammo with the clear plastic tray

For a 41 I would go back to CCI Standard only

I'm sure you're intent was go with stingers in general.
Not specifically just for the Model 41....that would be an overkill.

Great ammo though.

Would anyone have any insight as to which one has more buildup?

The darkness and wax texture seems similar to Eley Target or Club.

Im sure you or someone will correct me if im wrong but i dont think the pic you have posted is of a Federal blaser, from google images the federals are quite abit litter than the cci and they have 2 of those little crimp like lookin bands around the lead the cci only has one, and the trays that hold the bullets are different, cci are thin and clear, federal blasers are white. like i said i could be wrong!

I prefer the CCI Blazer over Federal. The CCI seems to be much more consistent in my experience.

Blazer is great bulk ammo, pretty clean. Reliable. The big suprise last weekend was my jw-25 getting half or better group sizes with Remy thunderbolt vs minimags, American eagle, and blazers. Every gun is different it seems. So buy a box of everything you can find and go from there. My Marlin 795 loves blazers.
