I have been handloading for about 4yrs, started off with BLC2 as it was listed for 308 and 243, and was readily available. I was getting hangfires now and again at first, just a barely noticeable "clickbang". I put this down to not having primers seated fully or tight pockets. It eventually seemed to go away.
I moved on to Varget and Reloader powders, with good results. I have been unable to get Rel 19 for my 243 lately, so I went back to some of my old recipes and tried a few loads out today. One of the loads was with BLC2, and out of the 9 rounds I fired, 3 had minor "clickbangs". All rounds were loaded with CCI larger rifle primers, which is all I have ever used. It was"nt cold out, and all other rounds(Varget) shot fine.
Has anyone found BLC2 slow to ignite, or is it my imagination?
