I headed up into the hills this morning with my 4 1/2 year old son he carried his 21" barreled 410 T/C Contender shotgun I carried my XCR-L in 6.8SPC.
After spending far to long trying to spot a deer while the little guy kicked every rock/stick/leaf he could find as we walked along I gave up and headed back to the truck and our 2 pumpkins.
I let the young man have the first go and he surprised himself at how well he hit the pumpkin and how big of a hole the shot left in it.
Myself I let loose (which is something I very rarely do with the 6.8SPC) with 11 110gr Sierra Prohunters @ 2650fps at another pumpkin about 30 yards away.
Talk about good humour I was pleasantly surprised at how easy/fast it was to get back on target and basically cut the pumpkin in half.
Oh yeah... did I say that we were up in the hills doing this...
