BLR 81 clips

Does anyone know if the new clips for the BLR 81 and Lightning with the alloy receiver fit the older BLR 81 with the steel receivers? I see they sell them in 358 Win at Wholesale Sports and I want another one for my 358. (Mine is not the sow belly, its flush)

Blr 81s are made on and after 1981,with the flush mount clip.Blr made before 1981,have the clip that sticks below,not flush with the reciever.I bought a new one for the 81s but have not checked it out .
 
In BLR 81 with steel recievers chambered in.358win, .308win, .243win, 7mm-08rem...the mags were all the same. The follower was even stamped with the 4 chamberings on it. The Browning website now lists different part# for each one. I'm willing to bet a .243 Win magazine will work flawlessly in a .358 Win rifle...and steel or aluminium reciever mag wells are machined identically.

That's OK. I've heard it all before. I was born in TO, so I didn't get a choice who to root for. :D

Anyone can slap on a hat from a team that just won the Stanley Cup, but it takes real guts to wear a Leafs hat. ;)
 
Sorry to hijack the thread. A magazine for a BLR will be easier to find than a leafs stanlely cup or a dodge that is not in for warranty work.....
 
Not interchangable pre / post 81. Don't think caliber matters too much.

Old style mags are hard to find, I see them mint for $100 on the EE sometimes.
