BLR 81 in 358win....

Seriously, are you?You started the post with the kindergarden question.

Your questions and replies have nothing to do with the original question.
Take your fishing tackle somewhere else Gary.

It seems that your spelling is of the kindergarten sort also. Laugh2
I used to tell my two youngsters when in that class to play nice.
They have grown out of their little kid's pants.

Interesting article Highwind.
Put a smile on my face, thanks.
Waiting for the dies and brass to show up and I will load some up
and try out this new to me BLR 81 gal.
Remarkable as it is, it feels like it weighs as much with my 4200 on it
as my Marlin 336 30-30 scoped.
Another slick action, tight grouping, and easy trigger this Marlin is.
Again, thanks for the great read.
Looky.

As the article states, I think it's an over-looked caliber. It's been a while since I've shot a BLR 308 but the recoil was not bad. So if the 358 is a tad more, I think it would be fine to shoot. While a scope is a great addition to any rifle, I'd like to try one with some a ghost site on the rear and a fiber optic site on the front. I'd be up to the challenge, using it as an easy carry bush gun. If you have the time it would be great if you tried the various weights of bullets and do a little report to the crowd here. I'd be more interested in reading how a 200 or 225 grain bullet would do. As I'm wondering if a 250 grain bullet would be a little restricted, based on the size of the case. But if it shoots lights out, that's all that counts.

What is the fps on this round? What are the triggers like on these rifles?

If memory serves 2400 fps with the 225 gr bullet. I've used 225 and 250 gr Partitions, X bullets, and BT's in mine. It's a very efficient killing round. Recoil is stouter then the same gun in 308, and the trigger is only ok. - dan

Just so happens that I will have some 44 loads ready to go, so I can see a shooting match coming up!
.35 versus .44
I'll be a waitin.

You are just about on there H.
I did buy some bullets yesterday and the powder is sitting in the can
waiting to be poured.
Soooooooooo, do we flip a coin?
You shoot mine and I shoot yours?
I need to know a bit ahead of time so I can set the scope for your eyes....
