Is there a set up that allows you to tip off your scope to use the
barrel sights?
I am curious to know whether a set up like this is available and what
components one needs to seek.

I have been thinking exactly the same thing all week! I'm leaning towards putting some #54 weaver bases on (these are low profile and you can see through them) and then machining a chunk off the bottom of a Burris Zee ring. I really don't like the look of any of the see through rings as far as cheek weld with my 30-06 goes.

Here is an article I found with someone who had the same problem who wanted the option of going back to iron sights. What Im still uncertain of is when I reattach the scope how far off will it be at 100 yards.
