Only in .223 and .308 but they got me looking. 300wsm, .325wsm or even .358 I'd be in.

this one is not very Purdy. I do like the short action BLR and lever actions. I may develop more interest it. How well do they shoot? Are they easy enough to find? What is the usual price on them?

I like it... "IF" they get rid of the goofy rails and spazzy flash hider... side rails on a lever action??? What the frig is that all about??? Give it a nice crown and low two-piece mounts and I'm in... I have been looking for a BLR in .223.

I see you can also get it with an 18.5 inch barrel with or without a flash hider. I am however confused why they named it after a brand of Scotch, could be they will come out with a cheaper model the Red label and a more expensive model the Blue label!

Lose the rails and flash hider and put some irons on it properly indexed for POI considering the sort barrel and I might be interested

Interesting that they think it's "restricted in Canada"...bottom of the picture. Not much chance of getting it exported if that's what they think.

Agreed on all points. And one more...US$1600??? They do have an 18.5" version w/o the flash hider, but with the other junk.

I'll still defend it. Not every lever action has to look and function as though it just fell off a horse in a spaghetti western. This one has all the lever-action advantages that translate into the modern world: fast action, flat easy-carrying profile, compactness...and adds to the list a bunch of non-traditional virtues that add to its utility: takedown feature for storage or packing, detachable box, strong bolt lock-up into barrel, extreme versatility in scoping options.

You don't buy this to look like John Wayne. You might buy it if you wanted the features and benefits listed above, and also are accustomed to and enjoy the use of a lever action.

When I finish tinkering with my takedown BLR, maybe I'll post some photos. I don't normally do the "Look at me! LOOK AT MEEEE!!!!" kind of posts...never understood why anyone would think that the world needs to see them unpackage their latest gun or shoot a few targets...but it might be good for a laugh just to hear the horrified reactions. :)
