Is BLR model 81 furniture interchangable between the "straight" and the "pistol grip" stocks?

I'd like to swap out my pistol grip stock for a straight one.

Yeah... I don't think it will work out. The grip is too different and there is also the barrel band on the straight stock.

Hmm... I wonder if swapping just the front end on the takedown models will work well? That way you could have a straight stock without the barrel band.
