BLR timing issue

These things are an abomination. John Moses would be humiliated if he were to see his name on one. Earlier ones with splined pins driven into the receiver were bad; new ones with the screw retained pins and two piece lever are worse.

Brownells Gunsmith Kinks has a submission from CGN member "guntech". I'll look it up.

Found it. Gunsmith Kinks III, pages 306-307. Start with unloaded rifle assembled except for the cocking gear pin. Hammer down, lever closed. Push the bolt body fully forward. Keep the lever from closing all the way with a .098 pin - forend band pin works. Get the cocking gear lined up, insert its pin.

Here is the list - Canada is towards the bottom. I took mine to WR Longs for a different issue - bought off a CGN'er and it was FTF every other round. Anyway, they fixed it up fine, and better yet at no cost! Turns out it was covered under warranty - And I was the second owner and it was more than 10 years old. Very impressed by Browning and the Smith.
Cheers
