Hey anyone between Sudbury and timmins have a report on the berry crop this year?
I'm headed north week after next fishing and bear hunting in September

It is thinner than normal... another couple weeks to the peak. The dark, wet weather set it back... should be good for BB opener.

Saskatoon berries are prime here now. Might have to go pick a pail or two?

I've been away for a couple weeks and just got home, haven't had a chance to get out in the bush, but starting to see a few cars parked on the side of the highways here in Sudbury.

Checked out a favourite patch in wmu 38 this morning, there were definitely some for the pickin, but another week or two and the patches will be a little thicker.

Yeah, I took a cruise on the bike this afternoon and a few cars parked in the usual spots... I tried to upload a pic that I took a few days ago, but the CGN system is balking for me at the moment.

Good news. I'm headed to matachewan week after next. My bear hunt will be late September. Only time my buddy and I could both get the same week. The area I hunt hasn't had good berries in a couple years. They spray from a chopper. Hopefully some will grow to keep the bears around. It'll be my buddies first hunt I'd like him to get one
