Blue bullets?

I have an older box of Federal premium ammo for a 6.5x55sweed and the bullets are blue! It looks like they are blue anodized. The box says 140grn Trophy bonded bear claws but from the pics I've seen those don't look like what I have. They have a really long point like a fmj vld with a small flat at the tip, no exposed lead and are blue anodized.
Any ideas on what they are?
They shoot awesome and I want more!

Are they anodized or can the blue color be scraped off? Barnes used to make a blue coated bullet to compete with other companies moly offerings.

I have a box of those Barnes bullets. To bad they quit making them they were incredible in my 6mm.

Doesn't sound like they are hollowpoint, like the Barnes Blue Meanies are

I don't have the Federal Premiums, but the last two times I've bought Federal PowerShoks -- the bullets have been purple.

The newer box says "*Projectile is coated with molybedenum disulfide dry
file lubricate."

The cartridges are 6.5 X 55.

The coating can come off but not easily. Would like to see a Barnes XLC.....what is the coating made of?
