First off: I have to say the shooting rest I used was pretty sad, with almost no repeatability as it has so many points of movement.
Round threaded rods that can rotate, smooth plastic adjustment nuts that slip on steel, etc. It's only redeeming quality is that
it allowed me to test these potentially scary rounds in almost the safest way possible- kneeling down behind the desk and
holding the buttstock as the rounds were discharged. All fingers, limbs still attached... always a plus. :)

First 2 pics are of the Lyman 314299 (?) .312, 198-200grn cast bullets. I hoped they'd perform alright but looks like my rifle couldn't stabilize
them properly. First one hit way right at 25 yds and the last one missed the backstop entirely... yikes. No gas check on them btw.

The last pic is no real indication of the accuracy of these loads as the rest wasn't 100% repeatable. Looks like jacketed bullets performed
the best at 25 yards with these loads and the circled T rounds were sighters: 40 gr of IMR 4895 with a Hornady 174 gr FMJ BTHP bullet.

Recoil with most of these rounds was noticeably less than that of the first 3 close to full power sighters, maybe 50-60%.
What I did notice is that the primer strike was more rounded out with the Blue Dot loads, even at low 17 and 18 grain levels.
A little ominous... zip
