It looks like a Norinco HP9. I have an HP9 and it’s a good shotgun. Hard to go wrong at that price.

Seen the reviews online, and everyone mentions they will not take 870 barrels. If anyone has seen the guts of one yet, is that simply due to the weird placement of the barrel lug and magazine tube length, or is the barrel extension or locking surface different?

yes. It has a security style mag tube that is longer than a typical 870 mag tube, and mates up to a barrel ring that sits further out on the Blue Line.

For the money - maybe just buy an Express.
