I know not alot of guys out there shoot the 221 Rem, but I figure I'd post my limited results anyways
Rifle - CZ 527 American
Load - 50 grain Speer TnT @ 1.89" OAL, Alliant Blue Dot, CCI 400 primer, R-P brass
4.0 - 1274 fps
4.5 - 1347 fps
5.0 - 1467 fps
5.5 - 1633 fps
6.0 - 1770 fps
6.5 - 1880 fps
7.0 - 1981 fps
7.5 - 2031 fps
8.0 - 2148 fps
8.5 - 2255 fps
5 grains basically duplicates 22 magnum ballistics. I didnt find any pressure problems. Point of impact seemed to jump up about 2 inches for every half grain of powder increase. Once velocity topped 2000 fps, point of impact was pretty much the same as a normal load (40 grain @ 3350 fps - Lil'gun powder).
I'll be testing more loads in the next while, I'll keep posted with my findings
