blueing questions

I have an FN HP from the fifties. It's a blued beauty with walnut handgrips. I'm concerned about the blueing though, how do I keep it pristine. What should I store it in(cotton cloth, pure ####en silk, merino wool??) And what should I put on it? It's mint, and I want to keep it that way.
Anything you guys can do to help, I appreciate

Make sure the gun is well oiled and most importantly DO NOT handle it with bare hands. Nothing ruins bluing like fingerprints and sweat.
