Recently picked up a bluing/parking tank from a supporting dealer and now mulling around how to heat it,what stand I should make, etc etc. Any one care to post pics of what you did to get yours up and running like heat sources, stands etc.

Hey pal
i bought these venturi's and spun them onto pipes. drilled the pipes with small holes (cant remember size) then attached to 20lb propane tank. Welded a simple stand with angle steel to support the tanks and mounted the burner pipes underneath. works like a charm.

I built my own setup a few years ago. Was a little bit of trial and error on the burners, but eventually built some that seem to work just fine.

The stand is easy, just some 1" square tube and 1" angle.

I think my burner tubes are 1.75" .120 wall DOM (because I had a lot a the time) with the flame holes just slots cut with a hacksaw or sawzall.

Expensive parts for the burners were the needle valves at the time ($25 each if I recall). Most parts are just off the shelf items from the local parts store.

20 lb propane bottle will run all 3 burners at once, but I never really kept track of how much burn time I could get from a single tank.

I was thinking propane and a burner. I was even thinking of grabbing a old BBQ, use the stand and make a separate stand for the tank to sit on then bolt this on top of the wheeled BBQ stand. Then use the BBQ burner as a heat source. The only thing is that I want to do this in my shop so would have to make up a long hose to keep the propane outside. Then me was thinking of using a hot plate or 2 for heat.
