Well, this is an RC that I picked up at P&D a few months ago. The stock is what caught my attention, non-refurb'd and no ugly RC forced matching stampings on the left of the butt.

This rifle was also pasted in cosmo - more than any other RC I had handled.

What makes this rifle unique is that the right of the receiver only has 1x waa (77 - Radom), it would have 4x 623 waa or 1x 77 with 3x 623 waa's for this year of production.

Thoughts?

I thought that the 77 waa was correct for the year as well but were made in one of the concentration camps. I will go digging and see if I can find the information again. I have a all matching Norwegian BNZ 41 but it has the 623 Waa's

I'd say Loewe on the other forum explained it pretty well. His trends work is very thorough and unparalleled. He's been collecting data for a long time.

I have to say that your bnz is one of the nicer RC's I've ever seen for sure. Very interesting that the stock isn't force matched. I wonder how that came to be.

The toes though........:p

I was hoping Loewe would pipe into the conversation, he is one of the best living references for this type of info.

It is a very nice RC K98, the stock is lovely. The rifle also had a stamped trigger guard/floor plate. I have noticed over the years that the Russian's generally only used milled parts on most of their RC refurbs (except for front bands).

Luckily I picked this one up for standard pricing ($600).

Sorry about the toes! LOL
