Has anyone had any luck hunting wild boar in Manitoba. I know the number of sightings have increased in the past few years (especially around the south west part of the province) but have there been any successful hunts?

Thanks

I have seen some pics lately on FB (MB Hunting) of some fairly large hogs apparently shot in Manitoba but the hunters are not admitting where they shot them.

Haven’t seen any myself but I’ve heard of sightings in the spruce woods area. Quite destructive apparently

We had a neighbor couple miles east that at his peak fed 500 plus Russian cross pigs...Girl friend left him and then he ran out of money for feed...There were pigs running all over the place for about a year...I got my share when they came on my place but the winter and deep Manitoba snow got most...Never seen one since...I miss those days and that pig meat.

Our minister saw one by Brookdale (Neepawa district) last fall. Where there's one, there's more.
He was really surprised at what he saw, but knew it wasn't a deer.
I dont want the buggers around, but if I have to I'll knock a few over

Daughter's boyfriend shot a couple around the St. Francis area, there was a wild boar farm around the area and about a dozen escaped some years ago and he believes that this is one of the offspring that they shot

Lots of them in the Binscarth Valley. My Dads farm is about 10 mins from there, he's had them wonder on some of the fields. Ive been meaning to go blast some but havent had the time.
