boat blind plans

using 1X2 straping make two frames like a capital A with the pointed end cut off and notched to fit over gunnels at both ends of boat. two end to end pieces notched tohold the modified end pieces upright. Sleeve seam camo burlap and insert over all 1X2 horizontal rails, you can add loops to insert local colour. Assemble in location, quick and easy, but allows for better long distant motoring and easier decoy handling and trailering. Bungey cord can firm it up. The long end to end support bar that can always be used on the backside can be made with enough material to be slit and pulled forward to the other rail to breack up your overhead outline. Found the idea in an Ontario Outdoor magazine, art.h all the best

Thanks Art, I saw the same article but my wife recently tossed most of my back issues. Do you still have a copy of that article? Thanks again.

i used 1" aluminium pipe that i clamped to the boat and bent to form the same shape only slightly smaller. then cut 2or3" aluminium pipe into 4" pieces and halfed them so they fit over the gunnels. 3 pieces 15" long were then welded between at about 50-60 degree angle so as to make a narrower opening. all this was coverd with max4 mesh and that fake grass stuff with ziptyes. this setup was held onto the boat with 3 bungee cords per side and it all rolled up for transport and was bungeed into the boat. worked awesome only your head was above the top when sitting and was almost invisible from 15 feet. dropped more than a few ducks right into the boat
