Will a body die size cartridge cases to the same specs as a FL die, neck excluded?
I've got tough chambering 22-250 brass (twice fired from another rifle, FL sized and now once fired from my rifle) and want to bump the shoulder back. I'm planning on using a properly set-up body die to bump the shoulder back .002" or until the brass chambers with just a little bolt resistance.
Will the body die "size" fire formed cases to any significant degree? I have yet to experiment with a body die (and don't own any FL dies) so don't have anyway to compare. I resize necks using a collet.
