I was out bow hunting this weekend....nothing but squirrels. But, came to the realization that holding a bow or rifle in a tree stand sucks. I started looking for something mostly for rifle season that could help solve the suck.....
I looked at various monopods, bi bods etc... then came across the Bog treepod, this looked promising though big, bulky and expensive. Looking more into the Bog line I came across the Bog Death grip elevation, this one looked less bulky, straps onto the tree vs the stand and will hold my rifle in the ready position with what seems like alot of adjustability and motion...basically exactly what I wanted...AND was on sale at Cabelas for $120 off, basically 1/3 off...
I bought it on a bit of a chance that it will work, then noticed I got the last one available.
I guess what im getting after is has anyone used one of these rifle holders in a tree stand and what was your experience?
Was it restricting?
or was it what Im expecting, easier on the arms during long sits and less movement when the deer come in.
I will provide my experience when I get the chance to use in in a couple months but would like to hear your opinion or experience.
