i have other photos but this should cover most - will have to go through an find pic of barreled action weights - *this is all pretty rough as those scales arnt great i dont rekon?

feels awesome to point an carry in the lounge room.... about to go send some down range this afternoon

Well that looks great!
A lot better than I anticipated.
Nice job

:) happy days - cheers!

So of the previously "liked" ammo 130 PPSN, 150 PPSN and 180 PPSN loads as they were, It only "liked" the 180gr Varget load - certainly not the final on the load or accuracy yet - i just used what i already had for an idea- shot the 180s just wide of 1.5 -allowing the barrel to cool completely betwen 1 and 2 but fired a 3rd shortly after 2nd- so another few rounds might of been a bit tighter TBC

130s started fine, but wondered (clean bore) shot porly- will pull an re develop those and also the 150s were horrid lol.

re development as assumed on those an only have 10 180s left so il shoot them at targets

Personally I wouldn't have had the floor plate and magazine lightened. Let us know if you find moisture or dirt getting in there- maybe it's a non issue.

Very nice job, i like it.
cheers Fre!

i understand- i shouldnt think there will be much issue from it? moisture will go right through it, like before, if its wet enough, its getting wet.
dirt shouldnt siv through the holes, an if so it will likely be very fine particules , perhaps the water wll wash it out> likely goin to modify the Shroud a bit and see if we can pinch a few Grams from somewhere else- as slim says the scope n rings are the 'heavies' at moment :)

It’s not going to hold water that’s for sure
jahahahahahaha!!! You know what- I rekon you're right!!

Looks awesome! Talleys and a leupold will make a big difference
Thanks slimno, an i rekon you're on the good track there-

I like the bolt handle more than I would be willing to admit in public

I bet you could have slabbed out more of the trigger guard, get scared bogan?

HAHA- a Bro did the trigger gaurd - so i think he got scared...... im ready to push the limits in due time ;)

Shot 130 PPSN loads from 49 up to 51gr today- (51.5gr was old load) was looking good with 50gr but couple of flyers an i moved on an loaded 51gr- it was looking sweet until i pulled the final shot i had- so that will be Re shot this week.

Got into the min charge of the 150gr an shot 47gr varget- was ok but vertical strung?

will see what the other charges do next time and go from there- proberly more worried about the 130s for now i think however may aswell develop both loads and have pulled all 180gr rounds (10X)

No complaints-
i dont normally shoot with ear protection but i have ear buds in lately- i did shoot it without them an didnt think it was obnoxious but i am in a reasonably open field with mountains 1k away so i get a real sweet echo--- dont know what the rest of the valley people think but it seems norm to fire a few rounds off on weekends here ha ha!!

mine have been periodical Boom- cool down- Boom- an so on.

I like it!

With the above pics where ya can see the scope clearance, rekon its sweet to go to a Low ring?

i ordered leupold rifleman weavers- M, but changed to Low (hopefuly) - may not work with this 42mm scope?
but should be at home with the x33 at least where il gain most weight savings overall- not a particuarly Early am or late PM gun- bush stalking all day sport etc so dont feel too handicappd there- rings will be a week or two atleast

Looks impressive WL and that is 3.545Kg's or 7.815 pounds Imperial measure.
The shop you chose did some nice finished work.
Looking forward to more reports.
Tight Groups,
Rob

Rob hoping to knock some more off that in comin weeks- possibly 200gr less but time will tell

I think it’s horrible. The only worthwhile thing you did was the work done to the barrel. The rest is just a massive waste of time and energy for a negligible result. You saved what, 50g by mutilating the bolt, trigger guard, and magazine components? What a waste. You’d have saved much more by lightening (or getting a lighter) stock, and your rifle wouldn’t be a Swiss cheese mess.
