Boito .410 break action restricted ?

With manual actions it is the over all length that determines the classification, of course there is the Rossi Circuit Judge exception.

Nope, sorry but you are incorrect. Kinda... Oal doesn't always determine classification of the firearm. There are a few nonrestricted frt numbers for guns shorter than 26". The ranch hand is a good example of this.

The circuit judge is based on a hand gun frame and in the RCMP's eyes, once a hand gun always a hand gun. I find this interesting as IMHO the ranch hand and other mares legs were designed as a hundgun, this is how they get past the Sbr rules in the USA.

Interesting. Can't wait to try it out at the range. Fellow shooter has one for sale and willing to let me try it . If it works, will probably setup to reload slugs. Found out yesterday 41 magnum bullets would fit. Probaby get the brass from Buffaloarms or fireform .303 british as shown on youtube. Winchester 40-72 brass seem pretty close but impossible to order rifle or pistol brass (not shotgun brass)from USA with these new ITAR laws. Seems that good days are behind as far as ordering stuff from there.

I have tried slugs in mine as well. Same as the other member, a little high at 25 yards. Have not tried 50 yards. Sure are a noisy little gun. Should be a warning label on it.

Funny but we haven't tried slugs yet we've each owned ours for years. Have to give 'em a try.
For me it's kinda a novelty firearm. Picked up "holsters" for both ours, everyone wants to know what we are packing and "Hey, them can't be legal, are they ??"
Yup, real noisy, 410 shells are cheaper than bear bangers. :)
When I registered ( remember when we had to that ?? ) my Son's, the guy at the registry said "wear ear protection" and we talked for awhile about the gun as he and his son had them too.

Actually it is because the factory made it with that length of barrel... no one is allowed to cut a longer shotgun barrel that short after it has left the factory.

I keep mine in the back of the car for dispatching animals at roadside.... I drive the back roads a lot and have come across many injured animals that deserve to be pur out of their misery.... fun to plink with but not too good for much else....

I refer to it as my noisy big pellet gun now using the slugs. What did you use for holsters? That would be kind of cool.

410 Boito

Tried it out at the range, at 50 yards. Too many shooters at the 25 yards targets. With no rear sight, pretty hard to aim and get accuracy. Noisy little gun.
