I would say find a tikka new or even used if possible....amazing rifles in my opinion...I have one in a .223 and 30-06 and they are both plenty accurate

I don't think there are any in Canada, at least none in .223 that I can find.

Bought one last week at my local place for $509.99 and Cabelas has them listed for $519.99. Comes with a Weaver 3-9x40 scope with BDC. I like it a lot so far and for a Stevens with a decent scope, you'll be awful close to the same price with no accutrigger

I really loved my Stevens 200, (sub MOA out to 200yd, at least) but more lately, I'm really liking the Accutriggers... so sorry, no definitive help here.
