Bolt Action 22LR Advice

All this Norinco chatter has me googling this gun that I'm not familiar with. Seems to look ok, Anshoots well too.

Haha good one. I still haven't put it to the test. The stock needs work, but the action chamber is well-sealed and bolt is very smooth. Looking to do some BR50 with it and put it up against other Annies.

One day a real Annie as an heirloom piece.

I have had many 22s since my first one in 1966 and have a bunch of them now. My first was a Cooey 64 semi with troubles and have had many since then. In all fairness you can get a Cooey 39 for about a hundred dollars. After all the 22s I have had I keep 4 and my favorite bolt action is a CZ452. Its accurate, reliable and a delight to shoot. At that I dont NEED a CZ but they are beautiful rifles. I would still be bringing home game with my Cooey 39 or 64. Personally I think Anschutz are beautiful but even my CZ is more than I need to hunt with. You may change your mind a number of times and end up selling what you get now. Look at the Exchange and see what I mean. There is a lot of traffice in 22s. They are cheap and all reasonably accurate. Just jump in somewhere, you can always sell it and get something else. I keep a Win 9422, a Marlin 39a, my CZ452, a Remington Speedmaster 552 semi and my fun gun the Martini Cadet. The CZ and the Martini are my faves and always bring a smile to my face.

I have read that the Remington 541 S is excellent........at least as accurate as cz and annie 64 actions.....Anyone have experience/opinions on the 541 S ?
So far no one has mentioned them in this thread.

I have had a few 541 S & T's and they are generally quite accurate... I am down to just Anschutz, Ruger and CZ's for my bolt rifles at the moment... all of which are very accurate with their preferred loads... mostly CCI SV's and Sub's and SK St.+.
