bolt action rifle suggestions

Hello all! Just got my PAL today and I'm looking for advice on a bolt action rifle. I plan on using it only at range. Looking at spending 1k before adding scope, suggestions?

Welcome to CGN. There are so many options! As others have asked, what distances are you wanting to shoot? Will you be reloading ammunition or purchasing cartridges?

I want to shoot 200 yards, maybe 223 or 270 caliber and purchasing cartridges
