I'm going to place an order through Numrich and thought I'd pick up a spare bolt assembly while I was at it. They have one listed as Colt Manufacturer for $217, and another one at $64. Can someone verify for me that the non-Colt one will still work in my AR? Thanks. See this page for info: http://www.gunpartscorp.com/catalog/Products.aspx?catid=1681

You probably can't get it, it would be controlled as a pressure holding part and require an import licence and a US export license.

Just buy a Stag from Arms East or an Armalite from Wolverine.

You can't just order stuff from the US. You have to jump through the hoops. You need a export license and a import license. Plus you will have brokerage fees and shipping. If you order it from Brownells, they now charge you 3% of your total order.

order me a Scar17 while your at it.

Give me a break with Colt parts markup. (Not you personally!)

The Stag Arms bolt is the same thing. Built somewhere between 0-8 miles away, but definitely 100% same specs. $78 at Arms East, and we will ship it to you for $9 Expedited.

It will work just like a Colt in your Colt.

$217 for a (potentially) Colt bolt? Why?

I just checked Brownells, $169.99 and sold out. Wow.

The same sentiment goes to LPKs. Stag/CMT LPKs give up nothing but markup to the Colt LPK. The only part I know is different is the safety selector. Lot's of the the CMT parts come marked C. Springs are all from the same subs. We sell them at just under $100 (but not for much longer). Colt $250USD with FCG, from Brownells (who are just charging what they're supposed to.) $250USD? Come on.

Back to the question, who makes the $64 one? If it is Stag Arms, buy it. If not, buy it from us.

All the best.

Stag LPKs are great. Same for their bolts. I'm currently running two of them and have used them in three other builds. Performance-wise, you'll never tell the difference between the Colt and Stag.
