Bolt Cover Scope Rail Scope Needed

Hello all,

Here is the deal. I am looking for a small, magnified scope to go on a reciever. Other suggestions are welcome, but I've seen 4.5" and shorter scopes (NOT red dots) and I'm looking for one that's 3X9 power. I heard AIM makes them?

Suggestions welcome. I'm looking to keep this SKS in good condition, that means no drilling and tapping.

You sound like me.
This is what I had to do to achieve repeatability;
Get this style mount;
LP-MNT-640T5 product # from Marstar

1) Remove screws and add red lock tight.
2) Screw back in the screws but not all the way.
3) Place a buissness card under the screws.
4) Lightly tighten them as the red lock will keep it in place & red lock tight the nuts also.
5) Check to see if the rear cover can barely slide on and off.
6) If every thing works fine. Clean of excess lock tight & let set for atleast 24 hours.
7) Buy these this add-on's;
This little plastic piece will keep your spring in the same position;

This should stop your cheap optic's crapping out on you to quickly;

As for compact scope's Marstar has 2 company's that will work for the 3-9x42 that you are looking for.

I haven't tried any other's besides Fitco brands and I would avoid them like the plauge.

Can you post some links to the "fitco" brands?
Also, with that 7 step method, am I supposed to do this WITH the cover on my SKS? I don't understand what you mean by "Place a buissness card under the screws."
Otherwise I guess it seems OK, I'm not experienced with lock tight, what is it supposed to do in this application?

The small buffer's are from sks man dot com
No I will not post anything to do with fitco cause all he sells is cr@p! Trust me, avoid him like the plague. If you don't you will soon realize why everything he sells is 50% off.
Ye do it with the sks assembled. The red lock tigh will keep the screws from coming undone and the buisness card is enough thickness that it will alow you to remove & put back the rear cover and return to zero as long as you do everything the same.

The set up that Satain has posted here does work even though I hate to admit it. He proved it to me. I would have been the first to say Bullsh*t to receiver cover mounts.
