bolt face question

My brother has a 7mm RUM remington sendero which he would like to rebarrel to a 7mm rem mag . Does anything have to be done to the bolt face or should it be good to go?

The bolt face will work fine they use the exact same face... but the magazine will not function correctly... the UM action rails are considerably wider and will not hold a standard magnum cartridge in place. To make the magazine work would require a Wyatt box and follower.

Is the RUM shot out? What is the reason for wanting to switch? Couldn't you download the RUM to Rem Mag velocities anyways?
