Other than they're forged steel, I doubt you'll find anything about the type of steel. What do you mean "in pieces"? Broken into pieces or just disassembled? Broken into pieces means you need a new bolt fitted as there's no safe way of fixing them. If it's disassembled, you need a manual for the specific model.
