I have an old savage 340 with a weaver 6x scope that is in rough shape.
I took off the weaver and put on a bushnell trophy 3-9x40, but the problem is the eye piece is too big in diameter and the bolt hits the scope.
So what I am looking for is a 3-9 powered scope with an eye piece no bigger than a 1 1/2 inches in diameter, if someone could please tell me who makes a scope like this, it would help me alot

Thanks
Ron

Much cheaper to buy higher rings, no ?????
The rings are an integral part of the upper part of the mount and there is only one mount available.

This rifle is wearing a Bushnell and the bolt clears the rear eyepiece.
How much clearance do you need, I have modified several 340 mounts by elongating the bottom base screw holes or welding them up and re-drilling, to allow the base to move upwards.

It's a 30-30.

The stock was pretty easy to modify, the action length of the 340 is almost perfect for the 10FP stock. You have to remove one of the factory bedding pillars do some minor modifications to the original bedding and cut the stock for the mag.
Once that's done just do a regular bedding job.
