Bolt Removal Savage 93R17 FV

so i go my new 93R in 17HMR .. and damned if i can get the bolt out to clean it.

the manual is no help..
it barely details the bolt installation, tried to reverse what little it gave me and that didnt work..

havent had a savage rimfire before so im lost. its probably going to be very simple but my mind isnt figuring it out.

help me guys

Pull the trigger as you remove the bolt??

Lol.. I cleaned my Savage the first two times with the action open because I didn't know how to remove the bolt..

You have to hold down the trigger as you pull the bolt back.. try to jiggle a little bit maybe if it is giving you a hard time. Cheers

i tried that briefly..

my savage 308 requires another mechanism to be manipulated at the same time so i thought it must be more complicated

Page 7 on the manual seemed to walk through the steps pretty good.

perhaps ive got a different manual. following the steps in the booklet that came with mine, i would have issues putting my bolt in even

I downloaded the manual off the website so it could be different... meh you go it working and that's all that matters
