There are good peep sight systems available for the ruger 10-22.
However those who prefer a bolt rifle do not seem to have comparable peep systems available.I checked with williams...they say their wgrs 54 would have to be mounted too far forward on both the savage 93 and the marlin 925 due to the split receiver to allow bolt travel,to be used in the traditional manner.....distance from eye to aperture.

Does any one here have a bolt/peep system that they are happy with?

Thanks,
Pete G

Look for an older Mossberg 144 or 146 b-a, or the Marlin 81.

Speaking of which, I just happen to be selling.......................

There are peep sights which mount on the side of the receiver at the very rear.
Lyman and Williams make them.
Might be necessary to drill and tap, inlet the stock.

NECG make a dovetail mountable peep sight. Front post would probably need to be changed.
Possibly you could get a tang sight depending on the gun.

Peep too far foreward? Maybe get a bigger aperture?

I had a CZ452 that I put a Tech-Sights peep set on, before Tech-Sights stopped shipping to Canada. :(

Was a very accurate set up and extended the sight radius to the back receiver. Was quite happy with the results. Maybe not as precise as a Williams but still good.

If you can find them through another supplier, or a used pair (rear sight and front blade), I'd recommend them.
