Hi,

If you want to change your bolt on your AR 15, and the new bolt comes from the same manufacturer as your rifle upper and lower,

Should you worry about headspaces between your new bolt and your used barrel.

You probably should. But I've put 3 different bolts into mine without doing anything to the headspace, and they all work. There haven't been any other evident ill effects. YMMV
 
All parts are interchangeable, including bolts. If you're a belt and braces kinda guy, by all means do a headspace check. However, I bet that you're well within spec 99.9% of the time :cheers:
