Man this thing kicks! That’s clearly my first impression after putting about 20 rounds through the gun…my hand still hurts several hours later! I guess that will go away as I get used to the gun and learn to hold it better…I also plan to remove the front guard so that it will be easier to wear gloves, plus it looks a lot cooler (I removed it with photoshop for the moment))…

So on to the shooting…here’s a vid of my first two shots…probably lots of flinching!

My next two shots in birdshot hit the lower left corner

The gun clearly exudes quality and thoughtful engineering. It is built like a tank and I have no doubt it will stand up to the repeated stress of the .410 (it even takes 3” shells..yowsa!).

Thanks to Target Sports for being welcoming hosts (as usual!)…and for having the Snake Slayer in stock! I have been trying to get one for a long time!

Definitely remove the trigger guard. Looks cooler and I found it easier to shoot. Your thoughts on this may vary.

My reloads are 5.5grs of Trail Boss under a 250gr RNFP. Good bark, but it doesn't leave my hand stinging after 30+ rounds. The factory .410's .....now those hurt!! Try some 3's in her. I got off 4 (count 'em.....four) rounds before I had to give up !!

Every time I've taken mine to the range lots want to try, few want to try the .410's twice :D.

thanks...i might try that, but being a glutton for punishment, i am likely to go the other way and try the 3" rounds :) I really bought the gun for its .410 shot capability.

ok...hand is better...thumb still hurts.

Just watched to video.

FLINCH
<noun>
-to tense the muscles involuntarily in anticipation of discomfort

Dude, that wasn't a flinch. It looked like you were going to do the hand jive when the gun went off!!!:p :D :runaway:

Remember, pain is your friend. You (me and others) paid good money to have your hand hurt like that. Enjoy it!!

Can you get an AR15 stock adapter for those?

kidding...

Video was nice. I've never seen anyone shoot one before. Very cool.

Yeah, there is definitely plenty of recoil with the 2.5". And yeah, they can sting. The 3" really stings. I usually just stick to the 2.5". 45 LC is a noticeable amount easier on the hand.

nice little gun you might fined by removing the trigger guard. allot clubs might not let you shoot it then because of safety
