I got this great book recently on the JC Higgins model 10 by this guy named Donald Woolley.

https://www.blurb.ca/b/11151149-jc-higgins-model-10-shotgun-family

It really is a great book; there is a wealth of information, good pictures and the paper and binding is of a good quality too and highly affordable. It's a great companion to my Sears 583.17A, but covers all the Model-10 adjacent family members.

I'd never bought from Blurb before and they appear to have no system for ratings or feedback, but this is a community I think might appreciate this work, so I wanted to share a good find here. It's nice to find a good gun book that isn't rare or crazy-expensive. The down-side of Blurb is that their search isn't great and they don't appear to have many other interesting titles in this mien.

He does another one on the vz.52 rifle series as well, however.

So, if you have ever looked at one of those weird bolt-action and tube-fed shotguns, this is the volume for you. Full detail is given on the recall info for those concerned about the infamous safety issue as well (the bolt stop may sheer off).

Hope this helps someone else out!
