I am new to reloading. I am not getting in to reloading to save a buck and shoot cheap. I am getting into it to stabilize and tune loads for my firearms. I seem to be able to find reloading books for beginners but nothing that really applies to the benchrest and advanced styles of handloading. Any ideas?

The standard loading manuals are not just for beginners, they offer valuable information pertinent to choosing components for the cartridge you wish to load for. The more manuals you can get the better, as they come to their data from different directions. There are manuals dedicated to the target shooter, such as Precision Shootings Reloading Guide, and Sinclair International's "Precision Reloading and Shooting Handbook", plus various other publications available from Sinclair which might interest you, however these are meant to supplement the manuals available from manufacturers of reloading components and reloading tools.

I have several of the standard manuals in hand, just looking for the next step. I am reading as much of this stuff as I can cram into my brain. Of course the standard manuals will allways have a place on the shelf for general references. I will look into the Sinclair publications. Thanks Boomer.

Sierra got together with David Tubb and produced a very useful video that has some of the advanced procedures well detailed. A good lot of useful info, unfortunately Tubb is not the most exciting person to present the info, so it can be tedious to watch for hours at a go.

Thanks guys. I have a Precision Shooting book by Dave Brennan tracked down. I think I will also buy Handloading for Competition by Glen Zediker. Once I get through them I will look at the Sinclair stuff.

Dan, I just want to double check and make sure this is the magazine you are referring to: http://www.precisionshooting.com/ I just did a quick google and that was on the top of the list, it looks like the one.

Yes, that's the one Jason. I've been a subscriber for years, and sometimes they run hot and cold, but I've pulled some extremely vauable (and sometimes just really unusual) info out thier pages. Varmint Hunter Magazine is another that usually has some nice custom rifle/wildcat reloading articles in it. - dan
